Paramannam is a very easy to make dessert recipes which required just a few simple ingredients to get prepared. INGREDIENTS OF PARAMANNAM
6 Servings
3cup rice
5 cup milk
1 1/2 cup jaggery
2 green cardamom
2 tablespoon ghee
For Garnishing
1 1/2 tablespoon mixed dry fruits
HOW TO MAKE PARAMANNAM
Step 1 / 3
Wash the rice under cold running water and soak it for 10 minutes. Heat a deep pan and add rice with water in it and let it boil over medium flame. After a few minutes, check if the rice is half cooked by taking out a grain from the pan with the help of a spoon. If the rice is soft and can be broken with a little pressure then, turn off the flame and drain the water. Keep aside.

Put a vessel over medium flame and pour milk in it. Boil it and add cardamoms in it. On another burner, place a pan and add jaggery with water. Keep the flame low and keep stirring to mix them well. After 3-4 minutes, turn off the flame and add the jaggery to the milk. Mix well with a big spoon.

Now, it is the time to add rice to the milk-jaggery mixture. After adding rice, mix everything nicely and cover with a lid. Keep the flame low and simmer the dish for a while. In the meantime, heat ghee in a pan and add the mixed dry fruits in it. Fry till they turn light brown in colour and then, pour over the dish and your ‘paramannam’ is ready to serve
