Palak Muchhal was born on 30 March 1992. Her mother, Amita Muchhal, is a homemaker and her father, Rajkumar Muchhal, works for a private company. She has a younger brother, Palash. Palak became a member of “Kalyanji-Anandji Little Star”, a group of young singers, becaues of her sweet voice when she was four years old. The little angels voice was melodic and she sang with the heart touching peoples hearts.

In 1999 the Kargil War happened. India was moved looking at the condition of the army heroes who died protecting the nation. Many donated to support the families of the soldiers who died in war. Palak was seven years then, Palak went singing and collecting donations before shops Indore for a week. Many people became emotional looking at the little girls work and donated. She collected 25,000 Rupees, which was a large amount in those days. The little girls efforts were shown in the media channels and news papers. she was encouraged by the support people showed her and the donations she got. Later that year, she sang to raise funds for victims of the 1999 Odisha cyclone.

Palak observed how poor children faced difficulties on streets, cleaning train compartments. Teachers at Nidhi Vinay Mandir, an Indore-based school, approached Muchhal and her parents asking to sing in charity show to raise funds for their student, Lokesh, who was suffering from a congenital heart defect. Lokesh’s father was a small footwear shop-owner and couldnot pay the high cost of heart surgery. Muchhal and her parents agreed and collected ₹51,000 for the of surgery. The media publicity brought into view the case before Bangalore-based cardiologist, Devi Prasad Shetty. He agreed do the surgery freely. Muchhal’s parents put advertisements in local newspapers for people to contact them if they had any such problems. Around 33 children who needed heart surgery were known.

 

A set of charity shows were arranged in that year, from which 2,25,000 were collected in 2001. The money was used to do heart surgery for five children in Bangalore and Bhandari Hospital Indore. To help Muchhal in her effort to save lives of children at relatively low cost, T. Choithram Hospital of Indore made the cost of surgery from ₹80,000 to ₹40,000 of its surgeons, awonder person DR.Dhiraj Gandhi, decided to charge no fees for cases brought in by Palak. The little angel got a supporting partner.

she spent her time studying, travelling and singing in shows. She didnt live her life like a normal child having fun, playing. When asked, how did she feel about miss playing like oher children ? she said, “some times . .I missed my normal childhood, okay. Playing with friends is not more important than saving a life”. These were thoughts of a small school going girl, how many grown people can think like that now ?

From 2000, Palak Muchhal travelled in India and other countries too for her shows, which is called “Dil Se Dil Tak” (“From heart to heart”) and in English as “Save Little Hearts”. Her younger brother, Palash Muchal, sings in the same shows with for raising funds for children who have kidney ailments. He too has a angelic heart like his sister. Muchhal can sing in 17 different languages.

-In 2001 Muchhal, raised around one million rupees for the victims of 2001 Gujarat earthquake.
-In July 2003, Muchhal gave financial assistance through her charity funds to parents of a two-year-old -Pakistani girl who had a hole in the heart. Palak’s charity organisation is “Palak Muchhal Heart Foundation”.
-By 2006 this foundation had financially supported 200 children in undergoing heart surgery.
-By 2007 Muchhal had raised ₹1.2 crore for this foundation which were used to save lives of 234 children. To make sure that operations of children do not stop due to lack of money, Bhandari Hospital in Indore has allowed an overdraft of up to one million rupees to Palak Muchhal Heart Foundation.
-By June 2009 Muchhal had staged 1,460 charity shows across the world which had raised ₹1.71 crore for Palak Muchhal Heart Foundation. These funds helped to save the lives of 338 children.
-In August 2015, funds raised by her has helped to save the lives of 800 children. As of October 2020, she with her brother has saved 2,200 lives of children.

Bollywood career:
In 2011, Muchhal entered in Bollywood as professional playback singer but her efforts to help child heart patients continued.
Palak wanted to be a Bollywood playback singer since childhood. She released six non-filmi albums on her own during her childhood and they were popular. She sang her first Bollywood song for the October 2011 movie “Damadamm”. Her dedication, hard work to work passionate the results were as the should be. She is a popular singer in Bollywood and has earned much praise from fans as well as prominent personalities in the Music Film Industry has some classic songs in her work.

Muchhal has made her entry in both Guinness Book of World Records and Limca Book of World Records for great achievements in social work.

-Silver Medal for the year 2000 by Vice-President of India Krishan Kant as National Child Award For Exceptional Achievement (Rashtriya Bal Puraskar)
-In 2006 Muchhal was one of the five heroic stories shown by “Star Gold channel” as part of its “Rang De Basanti Salaam” initiative.
-Winner of Sony Entertainment Television (India) TV show Cadbury Bournvita Confidence Champions (2006)
-Muchhal has made her entry in both Guinness Book of World Records and Limca Book of World Records for great achievements in social work.
-CBSE and Maharashtra board has included Palak’s achievement in text book of seventh standard moral science.
-Zee Cine Awards 2014 Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Fresh Singing Talent for “Meri Aashiqui” song of Aashiqui 2 and also a nomination in Best Female Playback Singer category for the same song.
-Stardust Award for Best Female Playback Singer for the title track of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo in 2015.
-Got her first ever nomination in the Filmfare Awards through 61st Filmfare Awards in 2016 as a playback singer for the same song and category.
-BIG Star Entertainment Awards for BIG Star Most Entertaining Singer (Female) for the same.
-Her contribution resulted in winning Best Track of the Year Award 2015 for “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” song in Zee Cine Awards.
-Received her first ever Screen Award for “Kaun Tujhe Yun Pyaar Karega” for M. S. Dhoni: The Untold Story in December 2016.
-Lions Favourite Singer of The Decade and Best Singer (Female) in Lions Gold Awards in January 2017 for the same song.
