Kotgarh
Travelling to a new place is always exciting and tiring too. But the mere thought of experiencing something new is always more intriguing. I love travelling and exploring new places and one such journey took me to Kotgarh which is approximately 77 km from the summer capital of the British era Shimla. A place so serene and covered with mountains and apple orchards everywhere. It makes one forget the chaotic and hustle bustle life of city.I visited Kotgarh on my baby mooning trip which I was little sceptical about considering the month of my pregnancy in which I travelled. I feel in love with this place the moment I saw it absolutely peaceful serene beautiful words fall short of describing this beauty. One thing that no traveller would forgot after visiting this place are the narrow steep dwindling roads. Smell of apple trees peach and plum trees is just too awesome. There are many places nearby one of them being Hatu peak, as the name itself suggests it is a place located on hilltop it has a beautiful temple dedicated to Hatu Mata one of the many goddesses worshipped in hill state.
The next destination was Tani Jubbar lake, a lake dedicated to Nag devta (snake lord) which turned out to be one of the very few lakes found on a hilltop.
Talking about beautiful apple orchards that made a beeline on the beautiful mountains that were surrounded all over, the smell of the soil filled with all lovely trees on the mountain slope made the place look more beautiful.
Below featured pictures is the view from the balcony of the cottage we stayed.
Finally time had come to say bye to this beautiful place with a heavy heart !!!!
